Two Poems

(i)Paradise Lost

Dark as deep red blood

Deep as the hearts cold pool

Cruel as the forgotten mind

Missing as the small white soul

Laughing like the summers sunset

Not beautiful but sharp and bright

Singing like the frozen moon

The bright stars

Attacking the deep blackness

Unseen sun

Hidden night

Bloodshot

The white solid eyes

Pinpricked by red, purple

Colours enacting out

The scene from many plays

The loss

Of nothing but paradise alone

Paradise is lost

On us.

(ii) Untitled

As I dream tonight

The colours engulf me

Washing and swirling

Becoming my refuge

My rainbow

With the stars above

Pin pricking my hopes

Vividly my world

Is caught

In a snapshot

Upside down

Depicting

My woes

My losses

But my life

On a rainbow

In the sky

The air drifts

Along my plane

Were dreams are real

Situations

Played out

Nightmares rising

Above the clouds

And I sit

Dance

In this unworldly place

My mind is

The pot of gold

The rainbow

Leads to the stars

So I dream

Drift

Sing

Inside my own mind
