The Meantime Poets (aka SE London Stanza) meet once every six weeks on a Tuesday evening, from 7 – 9 pm at the Spanish Galleon Pub, 48 Greenwich Church Street, Greenwich, across from the Cutty Sark DLR station. We share local poetry news and successes, workshop our own poems and occasionally study well-known or chosen poets. We are a friendly, constructive group always pleased to welcome new members. There are plans to read as a group at the upcoming Brockley Arts Festival in June and the Poetry Society’s Stanza Bonanza in July (Poetry Cafe).
Join the Southwark Stanza Poets: Out and About After Dark: songs, poetry and prose to celebrate night - walking in the spirit of Dickens who walked here, with musicians Martin Byatt & Edori Fertig & guests. The Streatham / Brixton Stanza is going strong with some very firm regular members over the last 2-4 years. Good mix of experienced and publishing poets with newer poets. High quality and imagination all round. Still have spaces for newcomers.
