* We meet every third Sunday of each month, for a couple of hours of reading poetry, our own or others. The meetings usually take place in a back room at a pub. We also issue a magazine where members’ work is published, Under The Hill. It’s issued roughly 3 times a year, free to members of our group. We have also held public readings, and taken part in other events by invitations.

There are several things in the pipeline here for the Isle of Man Poetry Society, including progress on compiling a book (Man’s Favourite Poems), and a request from a regeneration project to suggest poetry that could be incorporated into architecture. A performance event is at the planning stage, with a theme yet to be determined. Suggestions welcomed! A literature festival is to be held in 2012, which the Society will be supporting.
