The Southampton STANZA GROUP meet regularly, on the second Wednesday of the month, at the Art House Café, 178 Above Bar Street, Southampton, SO14 7DW.

We are a small friendly group that encourages those who wish to reflect on their work (not necessarily with a view to publication).

All we ask is that you bring a few copies of an original poem that you are prepared to share with others, and come prepared to constructively comment on the work of other local poets.

We also have a poetry 'open mic' - Moving Voices - on the last Friday of every month, also at the Art House.

Members (and everyone else!) always welcome. We often have a theme for the evening, which we religiously don’t stick to as the evening progresses! It’s usually a fun evening, but we welcome serious work, too.
